Deerfield WarriorsPott Invitational Season 16Rules

House Rules

Everything about the 2026 Deerfield Fantasy Book contest, in plain English. If a market's title and this page ever disagree, this page wins and the commissioner voids the market.

What this is

A play-money sportsbook that only covers our league. Every line, prop, and future is about the 12 teams in Pott Invitational Season 16. There is no real money on the site. The commissioner holds the side pot in real life, and the owner with the biggest balance here when the season ends wins it.

Getting in

Sign up: the commissioner texts each owner a six-character invite code. Go to deerfieldfantasy.com/login, enter the code, pick the display name the league will see, and choose a 4 to 6 digit PIN. That's your account. One account per team.

Sign in later: same page, your code and your PIN. You stay signed in on your phone for a year. Five wrong PINs in a row locks the account for 15 minutes.

Forgot your PIN or code: the commissioner resets it. Never share your code: anyone with it can bet as you, and bets are final.

Where things live: Lines is this week's games. Props is league-wide and draft props. Futures is the season markets. Board is the leaderboard. My Bets is your receipts. The Ledger shows everyone's bets once their markets lock.

The money

Every owner starts with $1,000.00. Minimum bet $5.00. Maximum 25% of your current balance on any one pick, rounded down, and money already riding on that pick counts toward the max. Draft props cap at $5.00 a pick.

Parlays are 2 to 8 legs, priced no higher than +10000, with at most one leg per matchup and one per market, and no two legs that ride on the same team, player, or draft outcome.

If your balance drops below $5.00 with no open bets, you are busted and out for the season. There are no rebuys.

Bets are final the moment you place them. The line and odds you took are frozen on your receipt. There is no cash-out.

Winning the pot

The biggest balance after the 2026 championship game wins, among owners who are eligible. To be eligible you need all three: at least 20 settled bets, bets placed in at least 12 different weeks (the draft counts as a week), and at least $2,500.00 wagered in total across the season. The Board shows your progress on each.

Ties go to net profit on settled bets, then to the number of weeks with action. Open bets at the end of the season that cannot be graded are refunded before the final count.

The calendar

Draft night: draft props close when the draft starts. Every other market is closed from the start of the draft until rosters are in, then weekly lines reprice from real rosters.

Each week: lines for the coming week go up once the previous week is graded. They reprice every 15 minutes from ESPN projections, lineups, and injuries. Player markets close at that player's kickoff, team and matchup markets at the first kickoff on either roster, league-wide props at the week's first kickoff. Grading runs the morning after Monday night and balances update on the Board.

Season futures: open all week, suspended from each week's first kickoff until the week is graded, and taken down once decided.

Fair play

Every bet becomes public on the Ledger when its market locks, so everyone can police everyone. The commissioner sees every bet by every owner and can void a bet or a whole market for a data error or anything that looks fishy. Voids refund the stake and are logged with a reason the owner can see.

The contest, in numbers

  • Bankroll $1,000.00
  • Min bet $5.00, max 25% of balance per pick, $5.00 on draft props
  • Parlays 2 to 8 legs, capped at +10000
  • Eligible: 20 settled bets, 12 weeks with action, $2,500.00 total wagered
  • Busted below $5.00 with nothing open, no rebuys

Your own team

You cannot bet on an outcome you control. No unders on your own players or your own team total, no opponent side in your own matchup, no "No" on milestone props in your own game, no last place or missed playoffs on yourself, no draft markets decided by a pick you hold. Betting on yourself to win or score is allowed. Buttons you can't bet show "Your team".

When markets close

A player market closes at that player's NFL kickoff. A team or matchup market closes the first time anyone on either roster kicks off. League-wide weekly markets close at the week's first kickoff. Draft markets close when the draft starts, and every other market is closed from the start of the draft until rosters are in. Season futures are suspended from each week's first kickoff until the week is graded, and decided futures come off the board.

Lines reprice every 15 minutes from ESPN projections, injuries, and lineups. The lineup the book prices is the lineup as set in ESPN. A dead slot (bye, out, empty) is priced with the chance the owner fixes it before kickoff, which falls to zero at kickoff.

Fantasy points

All points are ESPN league scoring for that week, to the decimal, as shown in ESPN once the week is final. Grading runs the morning after the last game. Stat corrections ESPN makes after a market has been graded do not reverse it.

Over/under lines end in .5, so they never push. Head-to-head and duel markets that land exactly on the line push and refund. A pushed leg drops out of a parlay and the parlay is repriced on the remaining legs.

Weekly markets

Spread, moneyline, total: the two teams' final ESPN week scores. A tied moneyline pushes.

Team total: that team's final week score.

Winning margin: winner's score minus loser's score, in the bucket shown. A tie loses every bucket.

Position duels: combined week points of the starters at that position on each side, as set at kickoff. A team with no starter at the position scores zero for the duel.

Player fantasy points: that player's ESPN week score whether or not his owner started him. If ESPN shows he did not play at all, the bet is a push.

Top scoring starter, highest scoring team, stinker, positional leaders: among the players in starting lineups (or all 12 teams) that week. Ties: every tied pick wins.

Any starter scores 25+/30+/40+, any team 150+, both teams 100+: settle on final ESPN week scores at or above the number.

Total points scored by all 12 teams, highest single team score: every team's week score added together, or the largest single one.

Draft markets

Settle on ESPN's draft results. A player's pick number is his overall pick. An undrafted player counts as taken after the last pick. First QB, TE, K, or D/ST drafted means the first player at that position in overall pick order. A team's first-round pick position is the position ESPN lists for that player.

Season futures

Champion: ESPN final standings rank 1. Championship Sunday: the two teams in the championship game. Make the playoffs: an ESPN playoff seed of 8 or better after week 14. Regular season wins: wins in weeks 1 to 14, a tie counts as half a win. Points King: most total points in weeks 1 to 14. Last place (The Punishment): the worst regular-season record after week 14, fewest points as the tiebreak.

Voids

The commissioner can void a market or a single bet when ESPN data is wrong, a line was posted in error, or something looks fishy. Voided bets refund the stake. Every void is logged with a reason that the affected owner can see.
